Romulus Construct Portfolio
A corporate portfolio site for a US construction company, delivered in under two weeks and built so the client could keep it current without a developer.
Romulus Construct PortfolioThe problem
The company's site did not match the scale of the projects it was winning. Construction is sold on demonstrated capability, and prospective clients were landing on something that undersold the work. There was a two-week window before it was needed.
My role
I chose the boring, correct tool. This did not need a custom application; it needed high-quality visual storytelling that a non-technical team could update themselves after handover. A custom WordPress theme delivered that faster and left the client independent.
The architecture
Custom WordPress theme
Built to the brand guidelines, so the result reads as custom while the client keeps a familiar editing experience.
Project showcase structure
Content is modelled around completed projects, letting the team publish new work without touching layout or code.
High-resolution imagery pipeline
Construction photography is the product. Image handling was tuned so large photography stays sharp without stalling page load.
Results Achieved
- Production-ready site delivered in under 2 weeks
- Built to the client's brand guidelines
- Clear calls to action on every project page
- Client able to publish new projects without developer involvement
