I designed, built and deployed a logistics platform: a public-facing website paired with a live admin dashboard for order tracking and rider management.
Comet Courier Platform & AdminThe problem
Comet needed two audiences served by one system on a one-month timeline: customers placing and tracking orders, and operators managing those orders and recruiting riders. An operations dashboard that lags or misreports is worse than no dashboard at all, because dispatch decisions get made on it in real time.
My role
I built both halves as a single Next.js application in a month. The customer-facing side was optimised for conversion and mobile, since that is where courier orders originate. The admin side was optimised for a different thing entirely.
The architecture
Dual-surface Next.js application
Marketing pages and the authenticated operations dashboard ship from one codebase with shared types, so an order means the same thing on both sides of the login.
Live order management dashboard
Order state is surfaced for real-time operational decisions and for reporting. The dashboard was built as a working tool.
Rider recruitment pipeline
Applications flow into a structured pipeline operators can process in sequence, replacing ad-hoc inbound handling.
Shadcn/UI on Tailwind
Designing the component source by extending a premium library made the dense dashboard tables adaptable without fighting design opinions. That is what made the one-month timeline realistic.
